In 2017, there will be an estimated 1,688,780 new cancer cases diagnosed.

Did you know?

  • Up to 1 in 4 people with cancer have clinical depression.

Clinical depression causes great distress, impairs functioning, and might even make the person with cancer less able to follow their cancer treatment plan.

Evidence from experimental studies does suggest that psychological stress can affect a tumor’s ability to grow and spread.

Emotional and social support can help patients learn to cope with psychological stress. Such support can reduce levels of depression, anxiety, and disease- and treatment-related symptoms among patients.

How we work

This one day event brings together all those living with cancer, as well as all of us who support them. We are athletes, survivors, local business owners, family and friends riding to show our support for these amazing people going through this emotional time. This one day community event raises funds for local grants, national research programs, and brings together a community for these families to rely on.

I MIGHT CHANGE YOUR LIFE - Ride for Cancer, is commited to providing essential services  to people living with cancer. Your support and commitiment to these events is pivitol to their success.

There are now openings in our ambassador program for college students across the country! Students can join or start a Crew on their campus and together engage in fundraising events, win awesome gear, and receive volunteer hours for yourself or your club. To learn more about our college campus event opportunities look here.

This is an exclusive Crew of college students, fraternities and sororities determined to make a difference in the lives of children battling cancer. Each crew is limited to 20 members so join the one on your campus or start one up before it is too late.

Host a local event

Thank you for considering hosting a fundraising event to benefit Seeking Sonder. Fundraising is one of the most important functions for any nonprofit. The monies raised make it possible to provide support and information to people all over the United States. Our goal is to directly help those with cancer in your local community.

If you are interested in holding a fundraiser for Seeking Sonder, a great first step is to contact us for suggestions on how to proceed. We can first help you identify whether or not there is an existing Seeking Sonder chapter in your area. If there is, you can contact the chapter leader to see about partnering on the event.

If there is not a chapter in your area, the Seeking Sonder team can help you plan your event. There are rules about fundraising with the Seeking Sonder name and/or logo that we can help clarify. We also have recommended vendors who can make the job easier. Contact Seeking Sonder early in the process to ensure success with your event. When you have ideas and plans for your event, complete and submit the Fundraising event application form below to get started.
